Protect entire document!?

Hello, I know this is an excel forum but its just a small question...Ho
can I protect a word document from Microsoft word so that another perso
needs to put a password to be able to read it...and once i put
password i dont want the other person to modify it....

when saving the Word doc, do "save as". In the save as box, look at
tools,security options. .
