Protect and hide one column

is it possible to hide and protect just one column. I do not want someone
even able to "unhide" a column. Thanks

Hide the column then protect the sheet with a password.

But take note that Excel's internal security is very weak and passwords
easily broken.

If you don't want them to see it, don't include it in the workbook.

Okay, I was hoping to just hide and protect the column, because I need others
to update the sheet.

Thank you for your response. I was hoping to just hide a column and protect
that only because I need others to update the sheet.

You can hide the column and unlock all cells that are to be edited then
protect the sheet.

Format>Cells>Protection for unlocking selected cells.

This will allow users to enter data in unlocked cells.

Same caveat about "weak security" applies.
