G Gord Dibben Feb 25, 2009 #2 Hide the column then protect the sheet with a password. But take note that Excel's internal security is very weak and passwords easily broken. If you don't want them to see it, don't include it in the workbook. Gord Dibben MS Excel MVP

K KDC Feb 25, 2009 #3 Okay, I was hoping to just hide and protect the column, because I need others to update the sheet.
K KDC Feb 25, 2009 #4 Thank you for your response. I was hoping to just hide a column and protect that only because I need others to update the sheet.

G Gord Dibben Feb 25, 2009 #5 You can hide the column and unlock all cells that are to be edited then protect the sheet. Format>Cells>Protection for unlocking selected cells. This will allow users to enter data in unlocked cells. Same caveat about "weak security" applies. Gord
