Is their a way to protect a folder on the network drive which, I would like
to give access for a few USERS who have to enter a password for accessing the
data/resources on the folder?????

Thanks

RG

A password protected zip file or folder. Otherwise the you can give
permissions to the users in question and the "extra" password is not
needed. Otherwise you will need some 3rd party software.

Use permissions to control who has access to the shared folder.
How to set, view, change, or remove file and folder permissions in Windows
