Prompt to Save Normal.dot

I use Office 2003 (which, apparently, by default makes Word the email
editor). Every time I exit Outlook, I'm prompted to save Normal.dot, even
when I know for sure I've made no changes to it. This behavior just started
yesterday, and doesn't happen when I exit Word (unless, of course, I've
changed normal.dot).. Any idea on what might cause this? Should I be posting
to an Outlook group? Thanks,

Tools | options
under the view tabs
Prompt to save normal template option is uncheck

You do *not* want this option disabled. That just gives Word carte blanche
to save Normal.dot without asking you. You *want* to know when Normal.dot is
being updated, in case you are not the one who made the changes.
