prompt to open a file as read only

I wanted to enable prompting to open a PPT file as read-only, and found in
the PPT help text some info on how to do this. It says to check the
"Read-only recommended" check box in the PPT Tools/Options/Security menu.

However, in my PPT Tools/Options/Security menu there is NO such "Read-only
recommended" check box.

Please advice.

My PPT is PowerPoint 2003 (11.6564.6568) SP2 (part of MS Office Professional
Edition 2003)

Click Tools > Options > Security.
Enter password in "Password to modify" field. Click OK. You will be prompt
to retype the password. After that, click OK again.
Save your presentation.
Now, users without the password will only be able to open the presentation
as read only.
