Powerpoint 2003 password protect problem

Dear All,

I have a problem with powerpoint 2003 file that is using password protection
function. In ppt 2003, a password can be set to allow the file to read only
and no one can modify it without knowing the password.

When in a local user profile account, the powepoint dialogue box will shown
up a read only button, and click on it and it can open for read only. The
strange thing is that when a roaming user profile account try to open the
same ppt file.
The open dialogue box read only button is missing, and even with correct
password type in the ppt file still can't open. This situation can be
repeatable in other envoirnment.

The PC and Office 2003 have applied all the latest security and recommended
patches.

Any ideal is very helpful, because up till now no one have answer on this
issues.

Regards,

wfl
