promoting additional domain controller

Hi,
I have a server setup as a additional domain controller
configured with active directory on our network. Our main
controller has had hardware failure. Is there an article
on the steps that need to be done to promote the
additional controller that we have to a primary? Thanks.

Because your original DC was not demoted properly you have to use
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;216498 to remove
references of the old DC. Next transfer any FSMO roles that were held by
your dead DC to the remaining DC
(http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;255504). After that
check, that your DNS is functioning and that remaining DC is also a Global
Catalog server.
Install new server and add it to the domain using dcpromo procedure.
