Progress meter Append Query

From code, I have been executing an append query from an Access form. Now I
would like to install a standard progress meter. However, I won't know how to
advance a progress meter while the query is running. Any ideas?

For example,
' Setup progress meter
' Run the append query, advance the progress meter until completion
' Close progress meter

Have a look at SysCmd in the Help. It will do what you want
