Programs won't work

I am having problems running two programs: Kazaa Lite and
Download Accelerator Plus. Two programs I used to use
frequently before this happend. Every time I start one of
them I get the windows error message that there was an
error encounterd while trying to run these programs. I
have run a virus scan and have downloaded all critical
updates from the update page, yet I am still unable to
get them to work. If you know of any way to fix this

Try installing them in Safe Mode. On next Startup tap F8 repeatedly and
when the start menu appears
select Safe Mode. Be patient because sometimes SM takes awhile to load.
