Programs won't stay open.

Certain programs like regedit, task-manager, and disk defragmenter won't stay
open.
For example, I will click on disk defragmenter in control panel, and the
program will open up, but it will only stay on the screen for a few seconds.
I can click on it over and over, and it just keeps opening up a closing after
a few seconds. The same goes for task manager. I press ctrl+alt+del, and
task manager opens but then closes after a few seconds. Regedit does the
same.
Urr Frustrating.

If I'm not mistaking it is a virus causing that I had that problem before but
can't remeber what exactly I did. try going to www.trend.com and do an
online scan use IE please let me know if it helps (e-mail address removed)

Hi,

You are infected with a virus, possibly Klez or Yaha. Download stinger from
http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/ and then restart in Safe mode. Logon as
administrator and run the file.
