I've upgraded from ME to XP Home Edition. My hardware
works great.

Problem, all the old programs on my hard drive aren't
visible in Windows XP.

What did I do wrong or not do at all?

Most get deleated with the upgrade, look in add/remove
programs,or R.click the hd,open.

You probably did a new install of the XP, rather than running the CD
from the old system and taking Upgrade. Which means that none of the
entries for the programs are in the XP registry, and none of the files
that they put in the Windows folder are there.

You can probably get things straight by first doing a SYS C: from the ME
Startup floppy, so you boot ME again, then running the upgrade in that
way, telling it to put the XP in the same folder as you used before.
Unless you installed the XP into the same Windows folder as the ME was,
but as a new install, in which case the mess is so total that you had
better back off data files and do a new install, formatting the disk
