Programs at startup menu

I had to do a reinstall of windows XP service pack2. All other programs
remained on the hard drive as I did not reformat. Now after the reinstall of
XP I no longer have any links to all my installed software in the All
Programs menu. I have reinstalled a very few programs out of the need to
access them. Does anyone know if there is a way to restore all the program
menu like it was before I did the reinstall? Many thanks in advance!

If the applications are installed and you want to add the shortcuts to the .exe for
an app:
Open either MyComputer or Explorer.
In MyComputer double click on the C: drive.
Double click on Documents and Settings.
Double click on All Users.
Double click on Start Menu.
Double click on Programs.
Double click on the folder you wish to add the shortcut into.
Right click in the window and click New > Shortcut in the popup menu.
Click the Browse button and navigate to the .exe you want to add the shortcut to.
Select the .exe and click Next.
Rename it if you wish and click Finish.
Complete the steps above to add more.

In Explorer expand MyComputer.
Expand the C: drive.
Expand Documents and Settings.
Expand All Users.
Expand Start Menu.
Expand Programs.
Right click in the right pane and click New > Shortcut in the popup menu.
Click the Browse button and navigate to the .exe you want to add the shortcut to.
Select the .exe and click Next.
Rename it if you wish and click Finish.
Complete the steps above to add more.

If you re-installed Windows over the top of the existing installation
then restoring the shortcuts as explained by Brian should do the
job. If you did a fresh installation of Windows then you will have
to re-install your applications too. Restoring the shortcuts will not
work for most of them.
