Program uninstall problems

While installing a program, my computer froze and
wouldn't respond to any commands. I was forced to shut
off the power and boot up again. When I tried to
uninstall the program, it tells me that the setup for
that program had completed and required a system reboot
before changes could be made. It said the same thing
when I tried to rerun the installation. It said the same
thing after I rebooted again. Now it's stuck in that
loop, plus the program won't work because of the
corrupted installation.

I already tried a system restore, and it told me it
wasn't able to restore to a previous point. Can anyone
offer any suggestions?

Well, if you don't have a drive image from before this happened, you are
screwed. This is why people invest in the likes of Drive Image, Ghost and
Tru-Image. It saves your bacon.

Now, I am afraid, your best choice would be to start fresh - as if you have
just purchased the hard drive. Clear everything off of it and do a clean
install.
