Program running in background

I was wondering if someone could help me. I'm having a
problem with what I suspect is a program running in the
background. It's interferring terribly with my routine
activies on the computer. For instance, as I'm typing
this, every 90 seconds or so the screen blinks and my
cursor disappears. I have to click my mouse button to
continue typing. Also, when I'm running certain programs
everything minimizes for no apparent reason. I've tried
defragging, running scandisk, scanning for viruses and
running a spyware detection program but nothing seems to
work. I can't figure out which program is doing this.
I've tried to disable some of my recently installed
programs to see if they were the cause but the problem
persists. Any ideas?

MSCONFIG is a diagnostic tool. You can use it to try to
figure out which program is causing the problem. I would
start by turning off everything on the Startup tab EXCEPT
anti-virus programs. After re-booting, you can turn them
back on one-at-a-time until you find the culprit.

Good Luck !
