Program opens and the window always needs resized

Question I would like to know how to resize a window and keep the setting
for the next time I open a document or Internet Explorer. Example, I had a
user that shrunk their Internet Explore Window, and now everytime they or
another user uses the device they have to always click on the maximize
button. Is there a way to size a Word, Excel, or Internet Explorer window,
so that the next time you open it, it will already be maximized??? Thank
You.
 
Close all instances but one of IE, resize this window to your preferred
size, and then select File\Close. Next time you open a new IE window it
will keep this size.
