program memory Windows XP Home

I'm getting an error message while using one particular
graphics program that says "Windows is out of
memory....perhaps you need to allocate more memory to
this program." So, how do I allocate more memory to that
program. I'm running Windows XP Home, with a P4 at 2.8.
There's also a gig of ram.

Thanks

Prioritize! bro Some Programs Require higher amounts of
Memory than others if you are running one For Instance
PhotoShop that uses above average rescourse you can set
Window to make that program a Recourse priority when it is
opened....
Hit CRTL+ALT+DELETE and click the Applications Tab
Open the program you are having a Problem with. It
Should pop up in the window now right-click it goto
Set Priority and try "Above normal" or High. Realtime is
rarely needed you'll probably find its set by default
on "Normal" which isnt usually ample for High end Graphics
Programs Hope this helps :)
