Hi Can anyone help when opening a spreadheet which is 11,567K in size it
firstly comes up with the message " An error occurred while loading Sheet
230141111111111 Do you want to continue loading the project" even though
there isnt a sheet with that name I click on Yes and when it opens the ss the
following message appears "Program Error Excel.exe has generated erros & will
be closed by Windows you will need to restart the program" I have tried
opening this on various PC's but the error still occurs, does anyone have any
ideas

I am guessing this is XL97, if it is 2000 then load all the service packs.

Behind the scenes, XL stores the sheetnames with a CodeName property, this
is so programmers can code to it, with no fear of a user changing it. I
suspect this file has macros which copy sheets and this, in versions before
2000 added a 1 to the codename each time. So this sheet probably started
life with a tab name of 23014

You could try opening it in a later version, XP or 2003 may help or if this
is an add-in, uncheck it from the list in tools>add-ins

Make sure your version is fully updated and patched

If that fails, send me the file and I'll take a look at opening it. My
email is below, take out the obvious bits
