Dear Sir,

I have just installed Windows XP on my system with original version and
service pack 2, including all support tools available. I have a software for
taking output of Design files in PLT format with optimizing the drawing for
Laser engraving application alongwith its protection key. The same was
working correctly with Windows 98, but now after installing on Windows XP, I
found the message that protection key not present, however the protection key
is connected to the Paralel Port as before. My paralel ports are working
correctly. Also I have tried the XP Program compatibility wizard with all the
options available, but still it won't work. After contacting with Softweare's
original manufacturer, they informed me that they don't have any updated
version for Windows XP.

Can anyone suggest me how to overcome this problem, if there is no other way
to use the program with Windows Xp. Any suggestions that can be helpful are
welcome, Please help me to troubleshoot this problem as this is urgent for me.

Regards,
Lalit

If the software makers say that there is no XP-compatible version and you
can't get the software to see the dongle in compatibility mode, you are out
of luck.
