Program closing all the time

Hello,
I just love the windows movie maker 2. However, I've
encountered a serious problem lately.
Every time I try to put captions or video editing on the
time line the program closes itself immediately. (The
pictures and music go well on the time line).
Does anyone know why this happens?? I know that you can't
uninstall the program and then install it again. What
should I do??
