I have posted this question before with no response.
Surely someone here ahs an answer.

I need to create multiple profiles in WinXp...
How how I change which software is visible in each profile.

Some profiles need access to Graphics Programs only.
While other need acces to other software.

It's all installed on the same hard drive as administrator.

Thanks

Rus

Visible or available?
NTFS?

For "visible", it's relatively easy for a few users.

Create your profiles and modify each of them appropriately.
Meaning - change their start menus and desktops to show only what you want
them to see. Make sure only the universal software packages (those that all
users need to see in their start menu/desktop) are located in the ALL USERS
profile.

You can do this in the C:\Documents and Settings directory.

As for if you need to create these users on the fly - are they roaming
profiles or not?

You could get scripts to erase/add (really copy or create) the menus and
desktops you need for each user as they log on.
