I have begun joining workgroup computers to a domain. The domain
administrators have a user name format required as part of a policy.
Therefore all my users will be forced to use new profiles.
I would like to ease this transition by making the new domain user
profiles mirror the local user profiles and settings. I tried changing
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList (domain user's SID) ProfileImagePath to
point to the local user's SID ProfileImagePath but every time I log
back in with the domain user account it rewrites that registry setting.
How can this be accomplished?
