How to find WinXPhome product key on preinstalled Sony notebook ?
I had to partition and format the drive. I left untouched Sony's original
small partition.

Sticker on the side/bottom of Notebook..but usually with a Recovery
Partition it should not be needed as the restore process places the Key in
the appropriate place at recovery time

The product key is on the bottom of your laptop. If you use Sony's restore
image, you won't need to enter it.
