Hi I just upgraded to Ultimate from Home Premium using the upgrade anytime
option. Can anyone tell me where I'm going to find my new product key if I
had to do a reinstall? I'm more then positive it won't be the product key
that came with the disk since the disk was Home Premium

Using Windows Anytime Upgrade does not provide you with a Product Key.
Instead, you are now the proud owner of an Installation License which can be
downloaded from Microsoft's Digital Locker. (Use the link in Control Panel to
get there.)

Once this License is downloaded, it can be run as a normal file to start the
Upgrade process again.

There is third-party software that will tell you your Product Key. Or, you
can look at the Installation License with Notepad (top line, scroll right a
little ways.) The product key will allow you to perform the upgarde directly
without having to pre-load the original Home Premium version should you ever
have to reinstall.

Thanks "mhonzell"!
I spent 2 hours on the phone with technical support, getting nowhere fast,
raising my blood pressure and losing my voice and sanity while repeating
myself OVER AND OVER AGAIN!
Should have know the thing to do was ask the group. Those people are
completely useless, and I know that's not their fault (are you listening MS?).
So, your post led me to my frickin' key which is all I wanted. BTW you can
open that file with IE also.
PEACE!

I'm in a similar situation, only it's now locked me out of the computer so I
cannot access the control panel etc, all I am able to do is go online, does
anyone know of any way I can get to my digital locker to download the license?
