Product key (25 digit)

I have a genuine copy of Office XP Professional which came with a new PC
several years ago.It has since started to malfunction,eveytime I try to
access Word ,Excell etc the software asks for the Product Key (25 digit),I no
longer have the certificates and the PC manufacturer is no longer trading.I
have ben told that there may be away to interogate my PC and find the (25
digit) code.

Can anyone suggest how to do this ? If true
