Product ID... is not valid

I'm re-installing my W2K system and my Product ID is not
being accepted during the Setup.

Furthermore, (2) different keys I have don't work either.
I have purchased all (3) products from retail stores, they
are legit; they have worked in the past.

Any ideas why I'm getting these errors? Given I've paid
for (3) copies of W2K and only have (2) systems, any
chance MSFT will assist me?

TIA.

The usual errors of working with 25-character alphanumeric codes
are: (1) Misreading and mistyping the sequence of characters and
numbers; (2) Mistaking numbers (e.g., "0") for characters (e.g.,
"O"; (3) Mixing up the CD keys for different products. Slow down
a notch and things will work.

.... while I agree with you, that's not the case. In fact,
one PROD Key doesn't even have a "0" or "O" in it.

Is this a clean re-install or re-installing on top of an existing
version or an in-place installation? If an existing version exists,
install Belarc Advisor Ver. 6 (or later) and run. It will generate
the CD Key for the version that is currently installed. Cross-check
this value to purchased copies. If mis-match, then you actually have
4 licenses for Windows 2000.

What is Belarc Adviser Ver 6?

Where do I get it?

And how would that be 4 licenses for Windows 2000. That would be 4 product
keys. Licenses are legal right-to-use. PIDs are some cryptic (that's not a
technical term) sequence of characters that M$ uses to discourage piracy.
