to install. I have lost the Key Codes necessary for the
installation. I do have the Identity # 000-43-491-562-849.

I thought he meant re-install. Who waits 5-6 months to install a program
they bought. I never heard of that. That's why I thought he meant
re-install.

somethime after spending half a grand on an OS from retail will do that to

If yours was a retail version, see

But if it was an OEM version, Microsoft won't support it and
you're probably out of luck. However it doesn't hurt to try
asking the OEM you bought it from if they can replace it.

Have you tried calling Microsoft? They are very helpful and nice and
if you can prove to them that you have a valid licensed retail copy of
XP then they will be happy to help you. Please be ready to provide as
much documentation as needed to make sure that your copy is not
illegal. Finally, set enough time in your schedule to wait about 30
minutes because it takes a long time to get a live person. I enjoy
reading the Wall Street Journal while I am on hold. Have a nice day!
