Working on a balky computer, had to install a new motherboard and memory. Of
course, Windows XP wants to be reactivated. Won't work over the network
(probably because the drivers for the new board aren't install yet), and
when you call the telephone number for activation, you get a message saying
that the activation line is down for two hours, please try later.
Got that message last night at 11:30pm PST. Still got it at 1:30am PST this
morning. And still get it tonight at 9:30pm PST. A very long two hours.
This is absurd; is there another way to get this moving? I need this
computer working tomorrow.
By the way, the immediate message after changing out the motherboard was
that I had three days to reactivate, but after two reboots, it now demands
reactivation immediately, or it shuts down.
Thanks-
