Product Activation Key for WINDOWS XP SP2

Hi,

Recently, I bought a new Toshiba Laptop with WINDOWS XP installed.
However I got a pack along with my laptop. In that pack I found a
Product key.

Could any one let me know how to use it?

Since I was in an assumption that the pack is having the WINDOWS XP -
CD.

The "restore CD" is probably a hidden partition on your hard drive. It
behooves you to burn a CD ASAP from the hidden partition.

You have not received a disk because most manufacturers jus ship a recovery
partition from where you can reinstall a disk. so create a disk from that
recovery partition.
Regarding the product key, you dont have to use the product key in normal
scenarios but keep it at a safe place as you might require that product key
in some scenarios........
