Processes Running Question

Steve Goodrich

I've been looking at all the processes running in the background on my pc,
and looking them up on the internet in an effort to understand what they are
and if they are all necessary.

I came across one called ISASS.EXE and the web site gave the following
information on it.

"isass.exe is registered as the Optix.Pro virus which carries in it's
payload, the ability to disable firewalls and local security protections"

It suggested that I end the process and remove it from my pc

How do I do this?

If I click the end process button I get a message stating that the process
can't be ended

A search for the file returns no results.

Any help would be appreciated

Steve

mcaffee and other antivirus makers and see waht they have to say i did a
search on google and found allot of websites on ISASS.EXE . Good Luck

Are you sure it wasn't "Lsass.exe"? The Lsass.exe file is a system
file located in the system32 folder. I have it on my computer and I
know its clean because it's not connected to the internet. That being
said, there is a virus by the same name as Lsass.exe but it won't be
located in the system32 folder. If the only copy of Lsass.exe on your
computer is in the system32 folder then you're fine. Do a Google
search on Lsass for more information.
