Processes Prioriry question

The Old Timer

If you use CTRL,ALT,DEL & select the application in question you can change
the priority for the CPU for this application. If you put something to a
low priority does it stay at that setting all the time until the job it's
processing is finished or does it only get the slower procession if nothing
else is using the CPU?
 
It stays at that setting until the PC is rebooted or the process is stopped
and restarted.
