Processes in Windows XP

Hello,

I am running WinXP home and have a question. When I boot up, there are
several process that load automatically and are supposed to show up on the
right hand side of the taskbar (with the clock for example). I can see that
the processes are running and the icons do not show. If I close out the
process and then startup the application manually the icons show up. What
could be the cause of this, is something being blocked during startup? Is
there an easy way to fix it. The ones in question are notmgr (which is an
application for my MP3 player, nvidia properties, incd from Nero, and unplug
and eject hardware)

Thanks for the help
Mike

Rightclick blank area of Taskbar>Properties>Customize button
Under the Behavior column you have choice of showing the icons always,
when in use or never.

I have tried that, and that doesnt help either. The only sulution I have
seen work is the close the process and start it up again.
