Process tab no longer visible in Task Manger (even after rebooting)

Hi,

I was testing some application which used winapi and my computer hung.
After I restarted the machine, the process tab in the task manager is
no longer visible. In fact the top toolbar has vanished and all I have
is a single window which shows me the running applications.

Has anyone encountered this? Its really making it difficult as I can
no longer end any process and have to restart my system evertime I
want to do so.

Any one having any ideas about how I can view the processes tab in
Task Manger or what may have caused the problem?

Click on the edge of that window and the tabs will appear...

I meant to write DOUBLE CLICK on the edge of that window and the tabs will
appear.
