Probs uploading to *NIX server.

Good morning.

I'd be grateful if someone could help me with an uploading problem....

I put pix on one forum without any difficulties, plus uploading to
Photobucket is fine, but I have found it impossible to upload to another
site, this time one with a NIX server.

The moderator said he thought my file names were too long, but even if I
name an image "1.jpg" or "image1.jpg", I still can't do it. It keeps saying
my file extension is wrong. (Underneath, it gives a list of acceptable
files, including jpegs!)

I can copy stuff to this site from Photobucket, but that causes other
problems. It would be much better if I could browse and upload from my
computer.

Help would be great!

Just as an experiment...try opening one
of the images in MS Paint and do a Save
As... test.jpg. Now try to upload the new
file to the website.

Hi John,

Thank you for the suggestion re M.Paint, but I'm afraid it didn't work.

I still got a messages saying "Error uploading image.file: Test.jpg: Invalid
file type (jpg, image/jpg). (Yet a bit further on it says "valid
extensions...jpg etc.!)

Any other ideas you may have would be most welcome...
