I am having problems with XP. I can not open Help and
support, System Information, and I really do not know
what else. My computer is real slugish. I have tried to
Restore my computer to an earlier state, but that did not
work. I have a large gap in the program list in the
add/remove section in the control panel. Can anyone help?
Thanks ! ! !

Hi

Try here for your Help and Support problem:

and for your System Information problem:

For the slow PC problem try here:

What do mean by a large gap in Add/Remove Programs? Programs that you have
already uninstalled?

Your computer most likely has a virus.. this might suggest that no
anti-virus program or firewall was present, or maybe not updated.. if your
system is badly wrecked, then your best bet is to re-install the operating
system, making sure that you make use of XP's partition and format
functions.. after reloading the system, and BEFORE you connect to the
internet, INSTALL an Anti-virus program and firewall (the XP firewall would
do to start).. the VERY FIRST action when connecting to the net is to update
the AV program and do all of the XP updates..

The NEXT step is to do a search in Google for the following programs..
ADAWARE - SPYBOT..

A good website to visit is this one.. www.pchell.com ..

Good luck
