Problems with XP Pro Desktop

I have one user that has an IBM ThinkPad with XP Pro. He has various
profiles (docked-multi monitor, undocked, undocked with projecter). He
likes his desktop icons arranged in a particular way. Between boots
sometimes his icons will auto arrange to the left side of the screen. He
has several URL's active on his desktop (graphs of various stock market
indexes). We have tried everything to figure out why this is happening and
cannot get to the bottom of it.

Tried using IBM's presentation manager and then removed it. Nothing seems
to work - the icons will still periodically shift left. Unfortunately he is
the company CEO and this is a big deal to him. HELP!!!

Any ideas?

Why not just untick "Auto arrange" and "Lock Web items on Desktop".

You do this by Right Click on Desktop, arrange Icons by,

Now select the two items I have said.

If your CEO is looking for another IT geek as your assistant then you
know who to call!!
