Problems with wmv files in Windows XP MovieMaker

W

wardellcastles

I recorded several wmv files using Windows Media Encoder. What I
recorded was me using a piece of software on my PC.

When I play these wmv files individually, the video quality is good.

When I import them into Windows Movie Maker, they still look good until
I drop them into a timeline. At that time, the video quality
deteriorates badly.

When I save the combined files into a single wmv to my local PC, the
quality is still poor.

I have the highest quality settings on at all time.

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

Thanks,

when you put the clips on the timeline, they go into the project preview
environment, a low quality one of 320x240 at 15 fps.... but when you render
the movie from the project, the quality will be based on the profile you
select.... what are you choosing?
