Hello, i am experiencing problems with my computer. I've
recently been infected w32Bangle virus and was cleaning it
with my McaFee Virus Scan program. So it says that the
virus infected windows.exe so i quarenteed it and i
restarted my computer. When it rebooted it says error
loading windows, please reinstall windows. I have a lot of
mp3 files and documents and other non-infected personal
files on my computer that i really want to save. I tried
to use quick restore but i get a error. So if i buy
Windows XP home edition upgrade would it at least let me
turn my computer on? Or do i have to just use the recovery
disk and return my computer back to the factory state.

Interesting virus. There is no Windows.EXE
But try booting to the CD and doing a repair install to replace whatever
files are missing.
