Problems with unzipping files

I have tried 2 different zip programs, 7-Zip and PKware's ZipReader. Both
will unzip everything except for exe files for every zip file I try to
extract. How do I fix this.

..exe files aren`t zipped. They are executables.

Then why would a major company with over 100 million users putting out a new
product have you unzip something with exe's in it?

Are you running any security software that may be blocking the extraction of
exes from zips? Are these ZIP files items you downloaded or are they Email
attachments?

Maybe you could post back with a better description of exactly what you
are trying to unzip. There are plain executables and then there are
self-unpacking executables. These latter will unzip themselves to a
directory when double-clicked. They will then either start the
installation routine themselves or you can go into the new directory
and look for a setup.exe. Many drivers are packaged like that.

Since we don't know what "major company" you are talking about or what
you are trying to do, we can't help you with a solution. I understand
you are frustrated, but remember that we can't see your computer from
here.
