Problems with the Start menu

Hey I am new here, and I hope someone out there can help me out. I am about
to go out of my mind. I am having a problem when I open my Start menu, every
time I try and open My Documents, My Pictures, Control Panel. It will not
open. It just lock up for a moment then all of my desktop items disappear,
Then everything comes back. It was sending an error message saying that Dr.
Watsons Postmortem Debugger had encountered a problem and had to close. I
also have my firewall telling me that the Start Trojan has been blocked but
something is really wrong.
