I'm running XP on my PC, but when I go to shut it down, it won't. It will
just "ding" without giving any error messages or anything and won't shut
down. It doesn't freeze or anything...I can still keep doing stuff on the
computer...it just won't shut down when I want it to. Then when I shut it
off and start it up again, it keeps telling me that it recovered from a
serious error, and sends the info to microsoft. Then the webpage tells me
there was an error, but it can't determine the exact cause and goes thru all
this junk about "if you added new hardware, a device driver may have caused
this problem" I have NOT added ANY new hardware to the computer. Can
someone help me out here, please?
