Problems with receiving large e-mails from Gmail

My Gmail accout is connected to my Outlook 2003. I've been having some
diffuculties lately with receiving e-mails with large attachments on my
Outlook, such as presentations and videos. Outlook is trying to synchtonize
with my Gmail when I open it (automatic Send/Receive), but then it gets
stuck, and I get a "Task Error" notice. Is it possible to fix it? I've never
had a problem like this before. My Gmail accout is working properly, and I
haven't got any problems with receiving e-mails, including the ones with the
latge attachments.
