Do you mean that PowerPoint quits when you create or edit text?

If so, please be sure that:

- You have a printer driver installed on your computer (not a network printer
but a local one)

- You have selected it as the default printer

I have any printers, but I have selected a printer local USB (Hp 3325)

And, Powerpoint 2003 continuous closing itself automatically.

This is a serious problem.....

Which language version of PowerPoint are you using?

And: Have you tried a "Detect and Repair" (to be found in Help menu)?

Kind regards,

There's also a PowerPoint newsgroup en español - you may want to leave a
message there too. But of course you're welcome here.

If PowerPoint quits when you try to repair from the menu, try it from Setup
instead. Re-run SETUP.EXE from your Office CD. It should notice that Office
is already installed and offer to do a maintenance or repair installation.
Accept that choice and see if that helps.

Buena suerte!

Hey brother, I have a similar problem with Powerpoint 2003, except that
instead of closing it blocks everytime I want to type text inside a textbox,
and it might have something to do with the placeholder. Also, I tried
installing two versions of Office, the spanish and the english one, in
different folder though, but that may be the reason why I've been having the
problem. Why don't you take a look at my posting on the spanish Powerpoint
newsgroup titled "Powerpoint se bloquea..." written on may 17th, 2005,
perhaps we can both find a solution to our problems.
Saludos desde México.
