Something funny happened with my computer and the page displayed on the web
page at the start has changed, but I want my old page reinstated, how can I
do that, I did used to know how to do it, but age has taken it's toll and I
cannot remember!

Why don't you tell us what the "something funny" is? Why don't you tell
us what web browser you're using? Did you bother looking in that
unnamed browser's setup menu for that option? Really, throw us a crumb.

If your browser is Microsoft Internet Explorer, look in Tools |
Internet Options | General.

Home pages don't just change themselves. You might have been infected
with a virus or other malware that has hijacked your home page and
possibly done other damage.

Possibly you mean your browser start page? Go to Control Panel, Internet
Options and set what you want for your home page at the top of the general
tab.

That has worked!

The only problem I have is that I shall forget it if it goes wrong again, if
I were to keep a copy of this it might help, except that I will have to try
to remember that I have got the copy somewhere!:)-)

So thanks.

Glad it worked - I hope the setting sticks. Like I said, browser
settings don't change on their own for no reason. You may be infected
with a virus or other malware, and you should do a thorough scan of
your computer.

Even if you don't spefically remember how to change something in a
program, your first stop should always be to look at the Setup options
on the menu. Chances are that what you're looking for is right there.

All you need to do is copy and paste the advice you got into wordpad

then save it on your desktop...
you can name it Home Page Help (or whatever)
