Problems with Outlook Express

F

Frank Tarpley

I am having trouble with the attachments that are coming
into Outlook Express. Somehow they are all being denied
saying "OE removed access to the following unsafe
attachments in your mail: file name of file.
Thanks for your help. I am running Windows XP home
edition. I didn't change any of the settings in Outlook
Express but I do get the Automatic Updates from
Microsoft. Thanks for any help you can be. Frank

Frank;
Outlook Express:
Open Outlook Express.
Click Tools, click Options, click Security tab.
Uncheck "Do not allow attachments..."

This change that Microsoft implemented is to help prevent viruses and
other bad code being received with attachments.
It is ALWAYS a bad to open an unexpected attachment.
Verify the sender sent the attachment before opening.

Microsoft NEVER sends Email with attachments.

It is very important to keep your antivirus updated and run it at
least weekly.
