Whenever I recieve attachments through Outlook Express,
it tells me that "OE has removed access to the following
unsafe attachments", and never lets me see the
attachments. How do I modify the security settings to
allow me to get attachments?

Tools---Options--- take it from there. If you cannot find the option, I
suggest posting in an Outlook Express group. This group is about the
Windows XP operating system.

In Outlook Express go to Tools, Options, Security. You'll find the
attachment option there.

Hello,

The following are the instructions for Outlook Express 6,
so if you have an older version it may be a little
different. If so, you will probably be able to look around
in the same menu area to find a setting that needs to be
set for you. You can test it by sending an attachment to
yourself.

Give the following a try and let's see if it fixes it for
you.

1. Go to the Outlook Express Tool menu.
2. Select Options.
3. Select the Security Tab.

There is a check box that is probably checked with the
following text.

Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that
could potentially be a virus
