Problems with Outlook 2003 / email account not found

Early this morning, outlook froze. I restarted and a window
suggested that I start Outlook in safe mode since it did
not shut down properly and that by doing so, Outlook should
be able to check and solve the problem. From that point on
Outlook has not work correctly any more. If I choose new
e-mail, and want to change which e-mail address to use (I
have a couple) an error occurs saying "The specified
Account was not found. It might have been deleted." If I go
to tools, e-mail accounts, view accounts, and try to choose
one to be moved up or down I get the same error in both
e-mails. If I try to send an e-mail I get an 550 error
regarding not a gateway... I did found an outlook log
called "first run" that says:

"*** Starting First Run (03-03-2004 23:21:21) ***

....HrPreSplashFirstRun called.

....HrPreLogFirstRun called.

....HrPostLogFirstRun called.

...... FCheckFirstRunStatus failed reading machine value
"17019"!

....deleting WAB4/UseOutlook because we're using MAPI.

....writing UUID to HKCU.

....setting Primary Client to Outlook.

*** Ending First Run (03-03-2004 23:21:31) ***

I do can recieve e-mails on both accounts. I try 2 times
repairing office11 by letting serch and replace corrupted
files, and tried 3 times reparing it by "reinstalling it"

I am kind of desperate since I need this outlook to work...

HHHHEEEEELLLPPPP!!!!! I have being doing this for hours,

If you are not on an exchange server, have you tried
running scanpst.exe to repair your pst file?

Hello greg,

Thank you for your reply. I am not using an exchange
server. I did used the scanpst.exe and told me that it
found errors, fixed, but outlook keeps doing the same
thing. I do have an outlook backup.dat setup on a
different hard drive. So I rename my original
outlook.pst.dat to outlook1.dat and copied the outlook
backfile file rename to outlook.dat into the c drive. I
had my hopes high! but no deal! It fail! still the same
error.

I deleted all emails accounts, recreate them....
NOTHING

I then created a new profile, choose to use that one,
set up the e-mails accounts there... SAME THING

I am about to open a window and jump out of it!!!

I am using WindowsXP PRO but the restore option is not
available to me (it was turned off)

Any ideas????
