For some reason I can't get one of my XP Home boxes to interact with others
on the network. It shows up in the workgroup on the other computer, but then
when it can't be accessed at all. On the problem computer you can't see the
other computers at all. I tried uninstalling file and print sharing from the
control panel, but it doesn't help. Any ideas?

Thanks

William,

If you have a firewall, disable it & try again. If then you can get through
then you need to add the IP range into the firewall

You have a firewall problem because it isn't passing icmp packets. Until
you can ping the problem computer from each of the others, you have not
solved this first step toward printer and file sharing.
