Problems with Network

I have 2 Windows 2000 Machines connecting to a router and sharing files etc,
I have to format and reinstall Windows due to spyware and this and that. Now
when I try to access each machine it prompts me for a username and password
to access it all drives are shared and is ok until I reboot then it asks me
again.
Can someone please explain how I can access these drives automatically? do I
need to add users? can I logon automatically when windows start?
