My daughter has a laptop computer. She is administrator on the computer.
Recently she has had problems whenever she boots the laptop from cold.
When she tries to log into her account, Windows produces an error: "User
environment: Windows cannot find the local profile and is logging...".
This happens *every* time she reboots her machine and she tries to log into
her account. This process ends with the HP "Setup my PC" wizard running as
though it's the first time she has used the machine.
Can anyone tell me why this is happening? And what I can do to resolve it?
She's running XP Home, fully updated.
Cheers.
