Problems With LCD Monitor

I am using Samsung SyncMaster 173P LCD Monitor. Starting yesterday, when I
use the monitor in 1280X1024 resolution, there us a 1/2 inch black stripe on
the right side of the screen. It works fine with 1024X768 resolution.
What might be the reason for this problem, and How do I correct it?

Sounds like it might be a problem with the video card, since the monitor
works OK at another resolution setting.
